I am expierencing major issues with the short shifter sitting properly. It seems that the shifter is way off to the left and when I put the shifter into 1st, it rubs against the plastic molding cover.  I have tried adjusting the the two hex bolts but I am still unsuccessful.  Any advice?

I had this happen to me in a way, try and pull the boot up a little si the shifter has more room to move(most push the boot down for the dropped down shifter look), this helped on my car.

any word in the manual or manufacturers notes?
