I do not have the xenons in my 2002 1.8t a4 but i also do not have the money to go out and purchase a set of ecodes. Will the mod still come out looking clean or would it be best to save for a set of ecodes? Could i just do the stlealth mod to my bulbs?

you dont need xenons to do the mod... but it is a little different and a tad bit more frustrating... you have to remove a lense inorder to get the amber reflector out (where as I just un-did the auto level motor)

ive done the regular halogens, as well as xenons and they both look the same when the mod is done.... the halogens will take more time and patience though

I have an 02 without the auto level option (I've installed after market HID's in the headlight and fog lights) I've done the clear corner mod. My mod was done my drilling a small hole in the upper and lower corners to release the amber lens then using needle nose pliers to break the lens into pieces so I was able to pull them out from the opening on the bottom between the high beam and the projector. I sealed the small holes with a clear rubber compound so water would not get in. Takes PATIENCE! but its  possible.

So i just finished my clear corner and i did the black out mod to the drivers side. I have to say that the glue removal part was such a hassle that i almost stopped right in the middle. But i finished and the outcome is perfect. For the ten bucks i spent it was well worth it. Only do the mod if you have at least a full day.  I will hopefully post some pics when i get the other headlight finished.
