Injector Upgrade
« on: March 02, 2011, 11:51:51 PM »
Hi,

To somebody who has done this mod, can you tell me what fuel injectors you used.  I wasn't sure what the displacement of the injectors should be to achieve APR stage 1+ tuning.

Thanks.

For the +1 tune there are a couple different options some use the TT225 386cc injectors some use the Genesis 380cc injectors both have a dual spray pattern both are very good options. Just dont use the Bosch 380's.  APR uses the TT's and a couple others. UNI = both GIAC uses the Genesis's. All depends on wh you go with. Havnt posted up yet but i do have a set of Genesis 380cc's that im going to sell for $200 so LMT.

I am about to do the same mode and go to stage 1+ file.My tuner told me to find some spacers for the fuel rail (approx. 11mm) because the new injectors are a bit bigger.Any help?I will use TT/S3 386cc injectors. My motor is BFB 163 hp to stage 1 and will upgraded to 1+
The car is a 2006 A4 B7 (yes in Greece B7 come also with 1.8T 20v motor).
Thanks!

You should not need spacers for the TT386's. They should set perfect in there without spacers for rail. I too need to adjust my fuel  . Havnt dont it yet. It is out there. Ill let you know when i come across it.

To get you to purchase the injectors. 386/380's are good. Your ECU can adjust for 6cc's easily. If you said 415cc or 440cc. then no. You wouild be running way to rich.

My FIRST post:)

Question... I'm doing the APR stage 1+ this week (or next) I have the Bosch TT injectors in hand! If I install these in a parking lot close to the APR dealer will my car run decent enough to the dealers garage? I'm worried about stalling etc. Has anyone installed these upgraded injectors then driven to the installation place without trouble? I take I I just have to tell them that I just installed them in a parking lot so I get the 1+ flash too...
