Common Faults
« on: January 07, 2009, 11:36:31 PM »
Hello another new member and the proud owner of a A4 B4 1.9 tdi quattro saloon (sedan for the u.s owners) will get some pics of her up soon but was wondering as on all forums members always have faults etc with their rides,

would it not be beneficial to have a "common faults -fixes" section, also for things to keep an eye on,as much as id like to believe my car and everyone elses for that fact is not unbreakable and we do often have lil issues that need dealing with that get on our nerves.

If there already is a such a section then feel free to slap me for not having a closer look around :-)

There is not really a section dedicated to that, although one could be added.  The a4 *especially the 1.8T* has some very specific failures, etc which are discussed but not really documented

i will try to come up with something

you can start by checking the FAQ section and by carrying extra ignition coils in your trunk!

and Maybe an extra LCD Display for the Dash... Hmm Very intresting Idea because I agree there are certain things that are a Given on the B5/B6 (Especially the 1.8T) that were an issue that any lifer knows, but doesn't really have documented anywhere.
