Additional Questions - Non Writeup Specific / K04 Upgrade??

Hey everyone!!

My turbo is going bad so a want to DIY K04 upgrade.

I have GIAC stage II software, big injectors, bov, exhaust, intake.... if I do the install myself WILL my car run right so I can drive about an hour away to have my CPU flashed for the K04??

Other then the K04 itself do I need any other parts or does it just directly bolt on??

Do I need any special tools??

And last, how much should I be paying for the K04?? If im trying to save some money, is a remanufactured K04 ok??

Any info is greatly appreciated!!

Hey Audi Fam!!

I have a good question for you! I appreciate any suggestions....

I have a 02 b6 A4, Stage II 23psi, big injectors, GFB BOV and so on....

When I drive normal, barely boosting, car runs perfectly fine. When I come to a stop, idle is a little rough. When I punch it from stop, car will take off fine and boost 23psi for a sec and then make a loud klacking noise and suddenly loss of boost and power, Engine light blinks when the klacking noise is happening, but when I let go of gas, klacking stops and engine light stop blinking and stays on steady. I plug in my OBD tool and it read codes 304, 302, 300, which is cyclinder 4 & 2 misfire and multi-cyclinder misfire, I would think its the ignition coils but ive never heard this sound before when they went bad and my car threw those codes.  Also when I boost, no smoke behind me.

My question is: If I had a blown turbo, wouldnt my codes read something else about the turbo or can a blown turbo cause the cylinder misfires??

Could it be my BOV??

And how are some ways to check if the turbo is blown??

Whats up fellow Audi enthusiast!!

Does anyone know how to get a stronger radio signal??

Ive looked into the shark fins but would not know how to install the wire from the roof to the radio lol....

Any other ideas??

Additional Questions - Non Writeup Specific / Turbo Timer and Alarm problem..

Any help plz,
  I just installed a Blitz FATT in my car and cant get the alarm to arm while the engine is still running,
I seen the write up on the Companion Lite which arms the car after the engine shuts off, I wanna be
able to arm it while its still running....this guy on a audi forum wrote this and said it worked, but I cant figure out how to do this....

"Alarm fix: I tapped the wire for fuse 6 (central locking) and removed the 5 amp fuse from the box. I put an inline 5 amp fuse between there and the 75x post next to the 30."

Can anyone tell me how this is done??

Does anyone have a Blitz full automated turbo timer hooked up differently to solve this problem??

GFB BOV that I cant get to work right...lol
Custom RS4 grill with rings
19" Rpm rims with Audi rings center cap, 2 1/2" lip all around
Blacked out headlights, clear corner
Yellow fogs
Tint: Back windows 1 shade from limo, front are 2 shades from limo
S7 3D Boost gauge
Rear lip spoiler
Milltek Exhaust

Coming soon: GIAC Tuning with Injectors, intercooler, and cat delete........
I seen a few intercoolers with piping on B6 A4's on EBAY for around $200, Are these FMIC's just for looks or would they actually work?? If anyboby has these mods already please give me the heads up on positives and negatives...Thx
