A Blank Slate
« on: January 19, 2008, 08:39:22 PM »
This is the new baby... 2002 1.8T Quattro 5 Speed.  Arctic White. 45,000 on the odometer. No mods as of yet, but I have a lip spoiler on the way, along with my APR Chipped ECU... Just a few days until I am blitzing around town...

Update!  Debadged today, and it looks 100 times cleaner...  I have pics of the whole process just because the debadge writeup is about a civic.  I love the look though, not sure why I waited so long to do this.

looks sweet!! if we ever get rid of the snow, salt, and cinders on the road, maybe i'll wash mine and enjoy the clean look.....looks great!! and btw, a 6 hr drive to get chipped is much better than sending u'r puter out and having a few days worth of downtime

will the WD40 eat the paint, or damage in any way?

It had absolutely no effect on my paint at all, short term or long term!   Looks perfect!  I was nervous to use it as well, and during the debadging I actually used a lot of it, but it only helped!

Any pictures of the car with the lip spoiler added? Where did you order your lip from?

Hey, haven't gotten to it yet since the car is out of commission, i have yet to replace my clutch and flywheel, sucks.  The one I am looking at specifically is the one where it continues over the taillights.  It is on the list of accessories on this site...  I am pumped for it though.

No prob, it is actually kind of hidden under the FAQ link at top right.
but here is the link:

http://www.a4mods.com/index.php?page=webcontent/pages/FAQ_Appearance.html

A nice comprehensive list of a lot of appearance options available.

Thanks...I would assume you are looking at the Wetworks Garage Trunk Spoiler?

I don't see anything that resembles the OEM Lip...

Quick update on the Audi progress...

Still sitting broken in front of my house as I am unable to pay for the clutch replacement on my very small college budget.  I am dying slowly on the inside...  Have ordered my SouthBend clutch though, and it is on the way, so the the first step has been taken.

I have made some progress though in the form of local shop!  I just convinced them to open and APR account as well as a REVO account.  Sweet.  I now have some sweet options as soon as I am up and running again.

Sorry about the rant, just needed to vent.

Yeah, the wetworks, thats the one.  Yeah, otherwise ebay will have the OEM one.
