I did everything exactly as was written, and for some reason the windows still do not open/close with the remote...am I doing something wrong?

In channel 62 the stored value is 95, as stated in the tutorial, so I went on to the next step, where you recode to a diff value. The ones I coded to were as follows:

1. Flash on When Arming/Unarming Alarm System
2. Activate Alarm System
3. Locking Via Speed
4. Comfort Functions with Remote (adapt in ch 62)
5. 1x Flash When lock with Remote
6. Horn Sounds when Lock With Remote
7. Door/Window Logic - windows work for 10 minutes after Ignition off and no door opening
8. Normal alarm system
9. No SAFE-function USA only

This comes to a grand total of 15978 and that is what I entered in the "recode" part. Everything works beautifully; except the remote windows  The locking at 10mph, unlock when key out of ignition, 1-click lock/unlock, etc works perfectly, so I don't know why the windows won't. I hold down the unlock button and nothing happens, but they're supposed to go down. Any help or points in the right direction would be awesome. TIA

(By the way, my car is an '03 1.8T CVT. Also, my front passenger window regulator is broken, but I don't think that has any relevance to this.)

Window regulator maybe the issue. Possibly to tell you something is wrong. Have you tried with just the Key in the Door holding to the left "lock" windows up..right "unlock" windows go down ? Sunroof shoould close with this but not open " I believe".

I tried opening and closing the windows with the key in the lock and it didn't work either. I held the key turned and nothing happened. And I'm pretty sure that the regulator is not the problem cause I actually did open and close them with the key in the lock before I recoded it, and my regulator was broken then...maybe somehow the channel coding is wrong?

Looks like on Martini's info. For the above Selected Options you need a value of: 16232 you had less correct ? I would go through and do it again. I ddi mine no issues. But mine was alos fior a 02 A4. Check Ross Tech see if any different info. Also follow info Exact. Looks like you had a few extra checked.

I actually took off the "Avant" setting, since my car is not an Avant, and I added the "Flash on When Arming/Unarming Alarm System" option. I don't see why this has anything to do with the windows, but I will try going with exactly what the writeup says.

The problem was the window regulator, for future reference. I had the regulator replaced today, and the remote windows work like a charm!

Is there anyone in Minnesota who has done this? I don't own a PC (all Macs) and would like to quickly work with someone who has the knowledge of this process.

This the issue I have. I am from the uk and have a b7 cab so the recode value is slightly different (7931).

My default Adaption value on ch62 was 204, I changed it to 207 (selected bit 1&2)

The windows drop about 5 inches then stop on open, but won't close when using the fob. If I stick the key in the lock and open/close they work fine.. Any ideas ?

I just re-read my writeup and I think there is a part that is not clear.   There are actually two distinct steps.  First you do the adaptation part on channel 62 - that is where you enter your 207 in the New Value spot and hit save.

Then you hit done/go back....  on that main screen, you have to then click Recode.   In the recode dialog you have to enter a second value - in my case that value was 16232.   You need to make sure for the SECOND value, you have bit6 enabled (using my encoder it should be done by default as bit 6 cannot be unchecked)

did you do both steps?

The issue is resolved my end. The Cab has specific window functions , when you drop the hood the windows drop halfway, opening or closing a door means the windows drop 1/2 an inch to clear the closed hood.

When the recode and adaption was done the windows would only drop 5 inches and stop if operated from the fob.
To get round this issue I had to trick the car into thinking it was a saloon/sedan. Did this by adding 256 to the recode value ( avant). all works fine now including all the cab window functions. The only thing i have lost is operating the roof from the keylock. That'll be resolved for next summer when i buy a Kufatec comfort module which means the roof will operate off the fob .. much much cooler than standing at the door with the key in the lock!.

Seems as if on Martini's data. For the aforementioned Selected Options you might need a value involving: 16232 this is less appropriate? I would move through and do it again. I ddi mine no difficulties. But mine was alos fior any 02 A4. Verify Ross Technological see in the event that any various info. Also follow data Exact. Seems as if you had a few extra checked out.

I think you have done something wrong from the following aspects: 1x Flash When lock with Remote and No SAFE-function USA only
When I first talked to you, I was afraid to like you. When I first liked you, I was afraid to love you. Now I love you I'm afraid to lose you, my cool gadgets , 'cause I am an eletronics hot. All the other kind of cool gadgets and electronics!!!

Then you hit done/go coming back.On that main show, you have to then simply select Recode.   In the recode conversation you have to get into a second value - in my scenario that value was 16232. You need to make sure for the SECOND value, you have bit6 enabled
