Hello to all

I need help in regards to what mods to do in order to start for my a4 . I recently purchased it and it came whith a miltek exhaust and also a computer chip. It responds nicely but im looking for more:)
I was thinking about getting a front intercooler but i dont know if the gain of power will be significant even tough it sure looks nice :) I dont want to spend to much on getting a new turbo , so basicly im looking for advice on what to do if I decide to keep my stock turbo.

Thanks in advance :)

Do you know what company the chip/upgrade is from? If at stage 1 go 1+ or 2+ meaning bigger injectors & HFC or test pipe. Look at FMIC, AFE and/or k&n drop in filter - or CAI but not if any gain there, upgrade the spark plugs, sprint booster (quicker response apparently but no extra HP gain - have yet to experience in person)...

Or just save your money for a K04 or BT setup

i just asked the garage i go to about a front mount intercooler and they didn't recommend it for a daily driver usage with low to moderage horsepower.  from what i understand, you only see big improvements from a fmic when you have large amounts of horsepower and you're really working the engine (during long, hard drives like racing, etc...).

that being said, i second cold air intake - you'll see faster response, less lag with that.  same thing/even more with a test pipe/cat delete pipe.  installing that will get rid of the back pressure that the cat creates, enhance the exhaust note, and allows the turbo to spool up about 2500-3000rpms sooner. however, that mod is "off-road use only" ;-)

i second the injectors too - with the appropriate software mapping these will also give you a little more bite.

don't get bigger injectors unless you plan on getting a ECU upgrade - this way the fuel ratio can be set right to get the most power out of your injectors and car.
