"Joey" Mod Fail?
« on: September 25, 2011, 12:11:15 AM »
I performed the "Joey" mod to my beloved B6 and so far have run into a few complications. I searched every thread and found nothing that quite described my issue so I'm hoping to get some answers with this post. Anyhow, I did this mod and noticed that I was getting the dreaded headlight leveling indicator on the gauge cluster. I then removed the headlights to check more into the problem and found these paper clip looking metal semi-circles running at the bottom of the inside of the headlight housing that was getting stuck behind a piece of plastic. I fixed these metal clips and was re-assembling the headlights when the driver's side plastic chrome tab on the side snapped leaving me no choice but to get a used headlight from an awesome Audi wrecking yard based in New York. Since installing this headlight along with my original headlight I'm still getting this indicator in the gauge cluster. I have tried manually adjusting the headlights with the screws on the top of the lights but can't get them to line up perfect, maybe a remount. The leveling sensors seem to be working flawlessly however as they both bounce and act as they should in perfect synchronization with one another so where could the problem lie? I don't have VAG-com  :(" title="Angry" class="smiley"/> and can't seem to figure this out. Any input is greatly appreciated.

I'm also trying to get some info on doing the "rest of world" mod in VAG to get the fogs to work with the parking lights.

My car is a 2004 USP A4
