Well, the subject pretty much says it all. I really really want the awesome sound from the cat-back, but I can't help but get the feeling that the stage 1+ is a better bang for your buck. I was going to get some used TT225 injectors and it's like 80 bucks in labor bringing the total to around 300-350. I found a magnaflow cat-back for $700 (new) which is a pretty good deal from what I've seen. I just need help deciding. My mind can't really get over the $700 aspect of the exhaust.... Any suggestions?

Car: 2004 A4 Quattro, 6spd, APR Stg. 1. I've already gotten my car lowered and a few other things, so the engine/exhaust was the next thing I wanted to do. Is there any order that I should do the stg 1+ and exhaust? Thanks in advance.

Additional Questions - Non Writeup Specific / Exhaust for B6 (2004)
« on: June 28, 2010, 07:38:12 PM »
Hey guys. Haven't been on here in a while, but I finally might be getting some more money, and I have been dreaming about a new exhaust for quite some time now. So, the two exhausts that I want to look into are Borla and Magnaflow. I found Magnaflow for 2004, but Borla only seems to go to 2003? How do you guys get your borla exhausts? When I looked it up on the site, it says that they don't have a cat back for a 2004 A4. Should I just go with the magnaflow? Thanks.

Additional Questions - Non Writeup Specific / Body Kit
« on: March 27, 2010, 03:03:53 AM »
Hi guys. I was thinking about getting a body kit in a while (next 6 months or so, gotta save up!), and I can't seem to find good prices. I looked at the list of things about cosmetic modifications, and some of the prices just don't seem to match what is online. The A4mods list says that a Kerscher front bumper is around $450. I can't find it for less than $650. Is there some awesome online place where you guys all get your body kits from or something? I'm on a college budget, and I'm going to work over the summer, and that's how I'll be funding this kit. I'm just looking for a front bumper, and I'll see if I can somehow paint the lowers. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance. O yeah, just for the info, I have an '04 B6 1.8T.

My experience was horrible!!! Apparently the APR servers or something were overloaded, and I sat at 2Bennett for four hours! Then, at the end, they tell me, "Yeah, well, it's not working. We tried the direct port and soldering the chip in, but the APR servers are packed." He proceeds to tell me to take a loaner car and go home... WTF! I wish they could have told me, hey it's not going to work today, bring it back on monday, instead of just keeping my car over the weekend. Has anyone had a crappy experience like this? Sorry for the long post, just need to let out a bit of frustration...

Hi all. I've got a B6 1.8T. I'm looking to get the car chipped, and I really cannot decide between APR and Revo. APR has some higher gains (numbers wise), but people have said that it doesn't pull as much. I've heard so many mixed opinions that I am really confused. I'm a college student at Davis, so money matters. The closest guy there is 2Bennett, and I've heard good things about them. Problem is they only do APR, and the $500 dollar price tag is real turn off. The closest Revo dealer on the other hand, is 40 minutes away from my parents' house, which really isn't too bad a drive. I'm looking to get that pull in the lower RPM range, and I can't decide which way to go. I'm leaning towards Revo because of the price, but if you guys have any suggestions or advice on this kind of thing, I'm all ears. Thanks.

Additional Questions - Non Writeup Specific / Rebadging on a mesh grill
« on: December 26, 2009, 02:49:33 AM »
I just bought a mesh grill for my '04 1.8T A4 from ebay. It comes debadged, but I actually like the four rings. Any suggestions on how to "rebadge" it? Thanks.

Hey guys! This site is great and has helped me out a few times. Joined up a few weeks ago. Here's my car:

18" MSW Type 16 rims
JHM solid short throw shifter
Eibach Pro Kit Springs
Bilstein Sport Shocks
Clear corners
Joey Mod
Ordered a boost gauge and a mesh grille

Over the summer maybe:
Chip: Revo/APR
Body kit/front lip and painted lowers

Hi guys. I just had a question or two. I was looking over the plastic painting writeup (the reiger bumper) and I was wondering if I could paint the stock, gray skirts with regular old spray paint. Of course, this is after prepping the plastic. Is it possible to paint with a rattle can and have it look good? I'm on a tight, college budget, and I'm just trying to find ways to ease the beating on my wallet. Thanks.

Hey all. I finished the black out, clear corners, and stealth bulb mod, and now I keep getting fix front left turn signal error message. I bought new bulbs, and those do the same thing. I switched the two sides, and the problem stays to the left. Any suggestions?
